Health & Safety First Aid regulations require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees.
This course is designed to offer the essential basic skills and knowledge required to administer emergency first aid at work until someone more qualified is available to take over the situation. The course is ideal for small businesses where Health & Safety risks are relatively minor or for persons expected to complement the skills of a qualified first-aider.
The St. John Ambulance structured Trainer course includes incident management and emergency life support training. Successful delegates will be able to recognise and treat a wide variety of workplace-related injuries and conditions.

Course Aims
Delegates will gain an understanding of the process of lifting and moving, be able to identify risks and determine the safest method of handling without injury.Back disorders are the most common form of ill health at work – prevention and management are key.
This course will meet the needs of anyone whose work involves lifting or moving loads. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require all employers to carry out training for staff that lift or move loads. This course helps to ensure that you comply with this legislation.
